Design

We provide professional landscape designs. Whether you are looking for a planting bed or an outdoor living space, we can help you with your design. We can design for your needs within varied styles around your site's potentials and limitations. Our designs encompass not only a planting design, but hardscape designs, structures designs, lighting designs, and more. Installation

We provide professional landscape installation. Whether you have your own design, or you need us to help you with a design, rest assured, we can install it for you! From demolition to grading and drainage, to hardscapes, to structures, to irrigation, to plantings, to lighting, we can build it! Our experienced crews and foreman have installed and built landscapes of all sizes and complexities. Below are a few types of installation services we offer.

Landscape Basics (a.k.a. "Softscaping" or "Getting the Dirt Covered!") | Green Landscaping

Demolition, Grading and Drainage, Sprinklers, Drip Irrigation, Soil Amendment, Fabric, Rock, Mulch, Edging, and Turf are the basic elements to any landscape, but they are in no way afterthoughts. We use top of the line materials in a well thought out design to insure that your landscape will stand the test of time and require as little maintenance as possible.

Green Landscaping

Our design and installation practices help with water conservation and environmental protection and strive to follow Best Management Practices (BMP's). There are many options to help our customers be good stewards to our environment, including the use of sod types more adaptable to our climate, utilizing irrigation materials and installation practices to avoid over-watering, using LED lighting fixtures to conserve energy, and much more.

Plantings

Using combinations of Form, Color, and Texture is essential to creating a beautiful landscape. Plants help soften the look of the landscape and create a warm and inviting ambiance. Creative use of plantings can also create screening or baffles for privacy and intimacy. Specimen plantings can also be used to create a focal point or character to a landscape. But perhaps most importantly, plantings are used to establish or enhance a theme and style to your landscape. This can be understood easily by looking at the difference between an English Perennial Garden, a Japanese Garden, and a Modern Garden. These styles don't necessarily rely on their surrounding hardscapes, but the simple choice of plant material and placement can create vast differences in the look and feel for the space they are in! We can create these spaces by using and combining specific plants based on their soil, light, and water requirements as well as their unique physical and growth characteristics. Patios | Walkways | Driveways

Paths, patios, walkways, and driveways are important to the functionality of the landscape. Functionality is priority when it comes to hardscapes. Just as furniture arrangements can make or break the design and function of your home, path and patio sizes, shapes, and flow can make or break your landscape design. We plan ahead to make sure everything will fit, and function as intended. Form follows function. Material choice, color, and installation method are just as important as their layout and intended purpose. Many different materials could serve for the same purpose including concrete pavers, flagstone, slate, tile, brick, aggregates, and more! Our team of employees are well-versed in landscape masonry. With our comprehensive knowledge of proper substrates, foundations, and construction methods, we make sure it is build to stand the test of time. Structures | Decks | Pergolas

We take pride in being able to design and build custom landscape structures integrated into the landscape. Our attention to size, scale, mass, proportion, and style ensures not only that the structure "belongs" in the landscape, but that it will create the luxury of the outdoor living space. We can special order lumber that is rough cut, hand-hewn, or engineered for maximum strength, and then combine it with decorative hardware and other components such as skylights, lighting, heating, audio/visual systems, and more! Water Features | Ponds | Streams

Whether you are looking for the sound of trickling water or a roaring waterfall, we can make it happen. Water feature styles can be very organic to very modern in appearance. Our comprehensive knowledge not only covers how the water feature will look in the end, but will help reduce the amount of maintenance in both short and long term. Although there is no such thing as a maintenance free water feature, we can help you choose filtration systems, and design methods to greatly reduce the amount of time it takes for upkeep. Fire Pits | Fire Places | Fire Features

The unique property of fire can be utilized not only for heat, but for a spectacular focal point in your landscape from a naturalistic style to more architectural and sculptural. With the use of natural gas, fire is no longer bound by a standard shape pit, and maintenance is practically nonexistent! We have built features which incorporate meandering fire lines, different levels, independent nozzles and more! Serpentine burners are flexible and can cover any shape and size, while pre-made burners can fit most any standard shape and size. Large pits can be separate by independent valves offering the option to have only a portion burning for a small group of people, or the entire feature burning for larger groups. Different media can be used in fire pits and places to create unique styles like crushed glass, glass pebbles, sand, ceramic rocks, lava rock, ceramic log kits, and custom iron log kits and sculptures. Fire can create an intimate ambiance for your landscape; and for more formal areas, we can design and build custom fireplaces and surrounds. Outdoor Kitchens | Built-in Grills | Pizza Ovens

The outdoor kitchen and grill area is perhaps one of the most important features in Outdoor Living! Just as the kitchen tends to be the congregating space inside the home, the cooking area in the landscape becomes the center of attention. Are you tired of having your back to your guests? Our designs focus on allowing the person tending the grill to be part of the social environment by orienting the grill to the side and allowing space for a grill-side bar or counter. Whether a simple built in grill with flagstone countertops, or an elaborate outdoor kitchen with granite countertops, there are several options for size, layout, finish materials, and appliances. We can simply start from using modular cabinet units, or start entirely from scratch for a completely custom feature. See examples here.

Landscape Lighting

Enjoy your landscape late into the evenings with low voltage landscape lighting. Low voltage (under 24 volts) saves energy costs, can be added to any landscape, and saves on installation costs because it does not require a licensed electrician. Landscape Lighting can be used for safety as well as to create an intimate ambiance. Lighting can also create a uniquely different canvas at night from what you see during the day. Direct lighting includes flood, spot, path, step, rail, post, column, and chandelier lights. Whereas indirect lighting can include wash style lights, moon lighting, sconces, bullet lights, underwater fixtures, and other hidden light sources. We can also incorporate LED fixtures to further save energy, conversion kits for line-voltage fixtures, color filters, color changing lights, timers, remote controls, photocells, and more. There is so much more that we can offer for your landscape. We can design and install outdoor heating units (gas or infrared), and even integrate audio and visual components that take your sound system and television experience outdoors. We also design pools, spools, and in-ground spas and hot tubs, as well as outdoor game areas including horseshoe pits, bocce ball courts, putting greens, volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, inline hockey rinks, children's playsets, playhouses, jungle gyms and more!
