The primary focus of this design was the water feature
in the back yard. A multiple tier water feature with no stream created
the most sound and was suitable for such a small space. In order to compliment
the 'Frank Lloyd Wright' style house, large scale and horizontal boulders
were used for the falls. Although small in size, this water feature can
be heard from very far away, and is viewable from nearly any direction.
The surrounding landscape was enhanced with boulders and plantings. The
entrance to the home was re-landscaped by removing old and overgrown junipers,
and replacing them with large scale boulder groupings and a border style perennial
garden with foundation plantings.
